Hi! I am John, welcome to my blog. Food is among the top three things I like, after God and my parents (they are my rock). Since childhood the kitchen has always been my favorite room in the house. I’d sit there watching my mother cook at the same time learn from her. A couple of years later and my love for the kitchen has not depleted. As a matter of fact it has grown much stronger. Walk into the kitchen and you will find me preparing a meal for my family, perfecting new recipes or experimenting new ways of creating old recipes. While still young, I never paid any attention to my diet. Neither did I pause to consider adopting healthy eating habits.
It started in College
After joining college, I joined the gym with the aim of working on my body to gain muscles. Well, anyone who has gone to the gym with such a goal would tell you that apart from the constant training, much of the emphasis is on proper nutrition and diet. You have to strike the right balance between the three major food nutrients (proteins, fat and carbohydrates) not forgetting the other minor food nutrients (vitamins and minerals)
I experimented with different kinds of exercise and Diet
Much of the exercises I have been undertaking revolve around cardio, cycling, weightlifting and resistance training. To date I ensure that I am physically active 5 days in a week for at least 90 minutes. Not that I enjoy it but I understand that for one to be in good shape, physical activity is crucial.
I have researched and experimented with different kinds of diet too from low fat, low calorie to high protein and vegan. As a result of this journey, this blog has been born to provide you with recipes that are good for your well being. whether you are looking to lose weight, gain muscles or live a healthy lifestyle, you have come to the right place.
